March 2026
We are disappointed with Mariella's new management. Despite many of the facility's caretakers providing exceptional care of my mother during her stay, with new management in 2025, we noticed an immediate change, including a reduction in the daily 'menu', and often minimal or sometimes deficient staffing, especially at night. The current administration appears to prioritize profit over people; for example, they continued to charge my mother for 'services' evenafter she passed away and continued to charge her daily 'rent', even after all of her personal belongings were removed, claiming that charging for 'services' after you are deceased and charging for rent after your belongings have been removed, was part of their contract. Although we were initially very happy with Mariella and their old management and staff, the new management does not seem to prioritize residents over profits; they are minimizing their expenses by diminishing the support and welfare of their residents.
