Enjoy the warmth of our beautiful new community in downtown San Rafael. Our community will have an effortless ease that makes everyone feel welcome and at home. Aegis Living San Rafael opens in 2025, and both Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments are available to reserve now. While the community will be all new, Aegis Living brings over 25 years of experience continually raising the bar on Assisted Living and Memory Care. We’re proud to offer a truly high level of care, and to help you stay in your apartment while receiving flexible levels of service. We warmly accommodate couples with differing care needs, and we are uniquely able to support transitional Assisted Living for those with mild to moderate memory loss. "My husband is in memory care at Frank Residence. I have only praise for this facility. The staff are kind and competent. The environment is both very safe and nurturing. His room and the overall facility is very clean and inviting. In the almost two years that my husband has lived at Frank Residence he has not asked to come home, not once which is a miracle in itself! While my husband's short term memory is poor, he remains articulate and observant. From what I have observed, the activities for memory care residents at Frank are appropriate and inviting. The ratio of staff to residents in memory care is a real plus as I've noticed that residents receive the attention they need and are encouraged to participate in structured activities. The nursing staff are conscientious and tend to error on the side of being overly cautious which I appreciate. I have been promptly informed whenever my husband has exhibited any signs of being ill and proactive measures were alway taken!" - Susan…

The figures below show the average monthly starting costs for assisted living of nearby cities. Keep in mind that these figures are an average, and that the numbers used to calculate it spanned a wide range. In fact, CareScout data suggests that most families will underestimate their monthly budget by almost 20%, meaning that once inclusions and services are factored in, they can actually afford more than they originally thought.
